Goodbye Iowa, Hello Missouri
We found it very interesting how much turbulence was created by the Des Moines River entering the Mississippi.
2 weeks after selling our sailboat, we were online looking for another boat. Bought "Tadpole" in April 2013. Tadpole is a trawler made by Nimble. Our model is a 20' Vagabond. Currently, in Iowa visiting family and friends for a few summer months before heading for Arizona.

I drive near this area a couple times of the year and this spring, the DSM RIVER had flooded the road I was on. Wonder if one could boat from Des Moines to the Missisippi, a smaller boat that is!! I'm on Donna's PC. Phill.
