Wicket's new ride

Old Gal get New Wheels

After walking a block or so she just wears out.
She seems to be happy to catch a ride.

And by the way... the Motor came in for the boat on Tuesday, but they didn't let us know until Bob called them yesterday (Wed. morning) so they have had the boat since noon yesterday.  Hopefully, we'll see Tadpole on the water this weekend.  We'll keep you posted.
We, also, moved to my sister's farm this morning.  All campsites were reserved for the holiday weekend.  Our internet connection is much better here.

Saturday at Saylorville Lake - near Polk City, IA

Saturday morning Saylorville Lake

A beautiful windless morning at Saylorville Lake

I had a photo to post yesterday of Wicket in her new mode of transportation, but I can't get it to upload.  I think it has to do with a weak signal.  I'll try to take another photo and post it later.

Motor Shopping - Tadpole work - Polk City, IA

After getting several quotes on the price of a new motor, yesterday, we call Heartland Boats in Johnston and had them order our new Mercury 30hp.  If we're lucky, we could be on the water next week.

93 degrees this afternoon at the campground and not too windy made for a nice day to do some work on the boat.  Here's Tadpole with her new Bimini.

Lake Red Rock - Pella, IA

We stayed at the campground south of the dam near Lake Red Rock at Pella, Iowa.  We had taken our boat, Tadpole, to the Suzuki Outboard repair shop just 2 miles up the road.  The motor was starting but would not keep running past a minute or two. Got the call on Friday from the repair man.  Motor needs to be rebuilt.  Ick!  So the best solution is a new motor.  Shopping this week for a 25hp boat motor.
While camping at Lake Red Rock we saw "Sisters on the Fly" camping while they attended the annual Pella Tulip Festival.  These gals must have a blast. www.sistersonthefly.com

Yes, there was snow on the tulips.

The Gulf of Mexico

Our new pet.  He followed us down here from Galveston, TX.
LOL!

This was taken fall of 2012, but I was unable to post it, then I forgot about it.  So here it is.
I'm planning to post something new most days.
